Who will benefit the most from this course?
Instead of expensive lights costing hundreds more, I’ll be using $15 LED lamps or $60 Speedlites. Instead of expensive light shades and filters, I’ll show you how to build DIY and easy-to-customize light boxes and cones — and, I’ll be using a crop-sensor, budget camera on top of it!
As I always say, the key is in understanding the physics of light and the ability to use such understanding in practice. And this is where I’ll help you to really shine: by showing you the most effective and easy-to-use techniques in jewelry photography and explaining to you why I’m using them.

Post-Production, Part 1
In this post-production lesson, retoucher Luciana Rilpol works on the diamond ring on white background. She starts out in Camera Raw before bringing it into Adobe Photoshop to perform all of the steps necessary to produce the final image, from cleaning up the metal and stones to smoothing the metal surfaces while retaining the important reflective properties of the metal. Luciana completes the retouch by applying color corrections, placing the extracted ring on a pure white background and adding a simple, multilayered shadow.
04
Post-Production, Part 2
In this post-production lesson, Luciana demonstrates the first part of the retouch for the blue gemstone earrings woth diamonds.
05
Post-Production, Part 3
Luciana completes the retouch of the blue gemstone earrings by duplicating the diamond setting of one earring for use with the second earring. She then extracts the pair to place them on a separate background and performs a series of color and “cleanup” adjustments to obtain the final image.
